I really love this! It's such a great family story, magic aside. I adore stories about magic and the supernatural and the strange, but I really love that the magic is almost an afterthought here, because it could have been a mother and daughter disagreeing about almost anything.

And I love the ending too. After all those years, I'm glad they're finally talking.
